The contributors to this list have graciously given their permission to post their responses on this website.  If you use the response list, we ask that you keep the author name with each statement so that their work is attributed to them. Instructions

Step 1

Choose a virtual or physical format for Good Designers do "X" (Figma file, Miro board, or the playing card decks and/or business card decks in our Good Designers do "X" Teaching Resources). For Figma and Miro, you will need a free account to access the file and make a copy. For the physical card decks, you will need to print and cut out the cards.

You may also print out the response list in the Topic 8 Exercise Worksheet and cut the responses into individual strips.

Step 2

Read through the statements. Create affinity groupings and name each group.

Step 3

Select your top three responses and/or affinity group categories.

Step 4

Answer the following questions:

  1. What do you notice across these themes? Do you see anything missing? What would you add?
  2. How might you visually incorporate your selected top 3 responses in your design process?
  3. What are some insights or takeaways you have about what "good designers" do?
