For this postcard, Adoniah’s activity was deciding how to spend time on a four-hour airplane flight, and the representation follows the activity categories provided in the Design Signatures app. The problem initially was clear, so there isn’t much time spent in the problem definition area (see the dark red block on the tail end of the plane). Adoniah then started gathering information and looking at options for activities, like listening to music or watching a movie. Adoniah then generated ideas, for example going to Netflix and evaluating different movie descriptions. For Adoniah’s process, implementation and evaluation go hand in hand; as she watches a movie, she’s also considering whether to keep watching or to move on to a next download (and this restarts the process, going back to generating ideas).
